park fun....

such a beautiful day at our neighborhood park. I love days like this...

no worries, no cares, no time to hurry to... just pure r&r and fresh air....

we wagoned on over with baby Cecilia's new birthday wagon... it's wonderful! carting two little sisters as they giggle and point to squirrels and stop for the occasional flower to pick... it's so fun having kids!

Spanish Point!!!

What a nice day to be by the bay on a weekend....
We spent the day at Spanish Point... it was really something!
As we arrived Isabelle was so excited and curiously asked, "Where's the PLAYGROUND!!?" as she always needs to know! So when I told her there was no playground but actually we were inside of a playground... we would be playing in NATURE and EXPLORING!!! She was excited! So Cecilia was set in her stroller... and Belle was charging to go!!! We turned over rocks to find bugs, plucked acorns, and laid on a blanket with our noses so close to the blades of grass to watch the little ants in their own little world that goes on by our toes every day! We walked through an amazing butterfly garden! such HUGE swallow tail butterflies fluttering by just to tease us to try to touch them! so many beautiful flowers which were puffy and so much taller than us! We felt like little ants maybe inside of our world! It was so great! We had a lovely little picnic on the side of the bay and watch the boats pass by... eating our apples and pears... and feeling the breeze on our warm shoulders was the best! I love weekends like this... recharging for the week to come and reflecting on our life... and spending time as a family.... lovely!

There is something about mountain air that totally will warm your soul and make you sit back and see things.... really take in the nature that so many of us pass by unknowing... unknowing that there is another life out there... another life where little ladybugs crawl on blades of grass all day.. another life where snakes hang out by a babbling brook and bunnies hop for joy to be in the wild.
ohh what a lovely get-away we took! We decided to take a family camping trip! It was amazing in so many special ways! Mattias and I backpacked and camped all through Europe and then again with Isabelle and my parents a few summers back... so it seemed like a fun thing to do finally with both of the girls! Totally out in the wild in a beautiful camp ground close to Helen, Georgia! Our tent spot was next to a brook that babbled such a peaceful rhythm and close to such a gorgeous organic farm! We woke to rooster cocka-doodle-dooing and a nice crisp dewy day. We did so many fun things but the best thing of all was just being together and enjoying our lives as a family....

It's fun to visit big cities... There is something about them that draws me...
Mattias is more small village, countryside living type and I always love the hum drum feel of a city but usually look forward to my quiet home at the end of an adventurous day! Our little girl Isabelle LOVES the city! She loves adventure and to watch people and point and ooh and ahh at different unusual things! I love how cities have so many things to offer... lots of different culture, cuisine, and art. I thing it's so fascinating how so many things take place many many years ago ... how many people have walked just where I walk... how many people have played the violin on this corner... in this corner's life? I love to feel the pace of the city but hide away to a quiet back street where you can find a cat and usually someone enjoying their cigarette in quiet. ahhhh big cities... which one to explore next....

We went to Copenhagen Denmark this day... it was beautiful! Very busy but very calm. Except for Amsterdam I have never seen so many bikes! We arrived morning rush hour... you would expect loads of honking cars and hustle and bustle ... but instead you hear brrrrring brrrrrring... bike bells... they have in Copenhagen as well as most Swedish towns, roads for cars then a patch of grass or sidewalk.. then a lane for bikes... then a lane for walking. In the winter months they even plow the ways. about 9am you cannot believe how many people speed by on their bicyles... wearing their black suits and exotic dresses, carrying thier briefcases in hand they rush to the grind of working life in Copenhagen! besides all of the bikers you see so many types of strollers... as well in Sweden. I have been thinking of making a show called "Pimp my Stroller!" From rain covers, to down blankets, to colors, to even lisence plates for strollers... and little toys they hang every which way... for people here some don't have cars... just strollers, and bikes... so they really deck them out!
